We’re excited to announce the release of User Registration for WooCommerce v1.9! This update introduces three focused but powerful additions that give admins more control over the post-registration experience and open up entirely new use cases for custom forms. Here’s what’s new.
Disable Auto Login in WooCommerce
By default, users are logged in automatically the moment they complete registration. That works for most stores, but not all. Some businesses need to collect registrations without granting immediate account access, whether for approval-based workflows, moderated onboarding, or simple data collection.
With User Registration for WooCommerce v1.9, admins can now disable global auto-login in the User Approval settings.
Or configure it individually per form through the Advanced Options panel.
Either way, the result is the same. The account is live. The user receives a success message. But the user remains logged out until they manually sign in.
Product Field in the WooCommerce User Registration Form
Registration forms can now include a product selection field, letting users choose products during signup.
It combines account creation and product selection into a single step. Admins can:
- Display all products or limit the field to specific ones.
- Make the selection required before submission.
- Enable a quantity selector so users can specify how many they want.
It’s a practical addition for membership signups, event registrations, or any scenario where a product choice is part of the onboarding flow.
One Page Checkout in WooCommerce
One Page Checkout lets users fill out the registration form and make payment on the same page. After they submit the form, a payment popup appears so they can complete the payment without leaving the page. Registration finalizes only after a successful payment.
No redirects, no separate checkout page, no drop-off.
